The Viprinet system consists of at least one Multichannel VPN Router establishing an encrypted VPN tunnel through all available access lines to a central receiver, a Multichannel VPN Hub.
However, there are a lot of fields of application where simple site networking is not enough. For these cases, we offer additional functions which again have to be activated via licenses.
On this webpage, you may thus find short descriptions for the activation of each license type as well as detailed how-tos as PDF files.
VPN Client License Activation
With the Viprinet VPN Client, computers not located behind a Multichannel VPN Router (e.g. road warriors) can be connected to a secure VPN network managed by a Multichannel VPN Hub via software.
Licenses for the VPN Client need to be bound to such a Multichannel VPN Hub. This way the software client itself does not require any registration, instead licenses are added to the Router the software client is going to connect to.
After entering your license key in the respective box, yo u will be requested to enter the serial number of the hub this client license should be bound to.
The license activation system will then automatically generate a license file that you can copy and paste into the field "VPN Clients" in the web interface of your hub. After this, the respective feature will be active on this device.
In case you need to transfer an already activated license to another hub this can also be achieved using the activation service. (Note: Only three hub-transfers per license)

Additional Features License Activation
Additional features are additional options for Multichannel VPN Routers and Hubs that bring about vital advantages for several specialized applications. They so enable detailed network monitoring via SNMP, installation of additional hubs as "hot spares", enhanced transmission of data via failure-prone connections as well as extended network administration.

Service Extension License Activation
Normally, warranty for a Viprinet product is limited to 12 months from date of purchase. However, it is possible to extend the warranty.
Service extension licenses need to be bound to a Multichannel VPN Router or Multichannel VPN Hub. The registration will be carried out in two steps.
After entering your license key in the respective box, you will be requested to enter the serial number of the router or hub this license should be bound to as well as additional personal information.
The license activation system will then automatically generate a license file that you can copy and paste into the field "Product features License Manager" in the web interface of your router or hub. After this, the service extention has been actived for this device.

Remote Assistance Quota Activation
Guarantee for Viprinet products includes first-level support via email. In the case that additional support on the part of the qualified network technicians of Viprinet GmbH is required, it is possible to purchase remote assistance quota.
These are not bound to a device but to a person/enterprise.
Before acitvating a quota, you must register for or login to our activation system.
You can then enter your purchased license key and thus activate you remote assistance quota.
