Viprinet expands manufacturing capacity

Rising demand from home and abroad / Strengthening the regional IT industry

Bingen am Rhein (Germany) – The German router manufacturer Viprinet expands its production capacities at its site location in Bingen am Rhein. On a floor area of almost 200 m², the assembly and final inspection of Multichannel VPN Router and Multichannel VPN Hubs will proceed. The former production areas will be repurposed as additional space for research and development that is also located in Bingen. “With this expansion, we are not only able produce higher quantities, but we also further strengthen the concentration of IT competence in Bingen”, rejoices Viprinet CEO Simon Kissel.

The extension became necessary to satisfy rising demands at home and from abroad. Especially the number of international requests has increased considerably over the past months. “We notice a growing desire for cost-effective solutions for reliable and fast company site links worldwide”, Kissel outlines one key factor for the positive trend. Viprinet’s unique bonding technology offers an adequate solution for a vast number of different applications in this area. It allows for bonding up to six different broadband connections into one single fast and highly available Internet link.

Being the only router manufacturer to actually build products in Germany, Viprinet GmbH had created ten new jobs over the past year and thereby provided the basis for a sound market growth. The company sets a high value on strengthening the regional economy by closely collaborating with local suppliers. “Other than the majority of German IT companies, we intend to perform as many production steps as possible in-house or to turn them over to partners near us”, Kissel explains the company’s credo. “Our experience with distributors especially from the Far East shows that the verification of quality requirements and flexible production adjustments are hardly possible there.” The extended manufacturing capacities should therefore provide that further production steps can be shifted from external suppliers to in-house fabrication.
