Viprinet at CeBIT 2011

CeBIT 2011, the great forum of ideas and innovations for the international IT sector, is over. As in previous years, Viprinet took part in this significant event to present its products and solutions to a large international audience. With two locations, our main booth in hall 13 with all products in live operation, and one outside presentation area, we underlined the variety of applications and fields of use for our solutions. Not only did we receive a lot of encouraging feedback from customers and partners, but we also found that more and more industries become aware of the importance of a reliable and fast Internet connection, and that they see Viprinet’s bonding technology as the preferred method to reach this goal.

The central issue "Cloud Computing" affected Viprinet as well, as the solution provides reliable access to remote data and applications for cloud users. Therefore, this year's booth motto was Reliability through redundancy. Also in the Cloud.

We also had the world premiere of our Multichannel VPN Router 500/550 series based on our new industrial router platform. It will revolutionize the failsafe connection of static outdoor devices as well as of vehicles and their passengers. Both, the Multichannel VPN Router 500 and the Multichannel VPN Router 550 consist of a shock-proof and splash-proof housing and components especially designed for outdoor use. With a temperature range of -20 to +65 °C and an rugged housing, they can be employed for industrial machines, stationary outdoor devices such as vending machines, wind or solar power plants, or vehicles of all kinds. The routers are equipped with four integrated 3G/LTE-modems and, in the model 550 only, an integrated WLAN access point. With an Ethernet port, an additional external modem (e.g. for ADSL) can be attached in stationary operation. The bonded bandwidth is provided to local applications through a LAN Ethernet port and, in the model 550, through the access point. The innovative bonding technology permits a high transfer stability even with extremely faulty 3G/LTE-lines. The new router platform can be customized for specific usage demands in future OEM projects.

Some of our solution partners presented special fields of use for the unique Viprinet technology. In the outdoor area, the fellows from Embedded Source showed two mobile application samples: One fire engine, steadily connected via 6x 3G with the control station, and one Variotrailer for mobile media and office users with bonded 6x 3G for providing a steady and fast Internet connection for up to 8 workstations.

At our booth in hall 13, our partner Code One presented its solutions in the field of mobile live video streaming. Besides the Code One Streaming Kit, a complete unit for smooth transfer of live videos in the Internet, they also introduced new concepts in Live 3D streaming.

As last year, we also celebrated our great booth party on Friday, March 4th. DJs Tanzwart and Ronny Pries massively rocked the hall, making a crowd of more than 500 shake their fair-tired feet.
